Campfire Puddings - Dampers & Jam

  • Skewer

  1. Dampers and Jam
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, and salt together in a bowl
  3. Rub the butter with the flour, salt, and sugar until its crumbly
  4. Add a little bit of the milk at a time and mix the until a dough starts to form
  5. With your hand knead the dough
  6. Shape your dough into a sausage and wrap around the skewer
  7. To cook in the oven - place under the grill, turning regularly
  8. To cook on a fire – hold the damper near the top of the flame, being careful not to get too close, and gently turn to ensure it is cooking all around
  9. Once cooked, spread jam and eat whilst it is warm
