QSWP Bakeoff - Bannock Bread

  • 1 1/2 Cups of plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 Cup of dried mixed fruit
  • 1/2 Cup of milk powder
  • Jug of cold water
  • Frying pan
  • Olive oil

  1. In a large mixing bowl add the plain flour, baking powder, fried mixed fruit and milk powder
  2. Slowly adding a little water at a time mix to form a dough
  3. Empty dough onto a surface, flatten the dough to approx 2.5cm in thickness
  4. Heat the fryng pan with a little oil, adding the flattened dough
  5. Cook each side for approx 7 minutes on a medium heat until each side is golden brown
  6. Enjoy!
