Bushscout - Fire Lay

  • Need
  • Matches / Striker
  • String
  • Scissors
  • Cotton wool
  • Kindling
  • Firewood
  • Bucket of water

  1. Fold the string in half and create a loop
  2. Pull this over a piece of wood (Carefully follow the instructions in the video)
  3. Then build a “raft” for your fire to sit on
  4. Place your raft into the bucket of water
  5. Layer your firewood onto the raft
  6. Add some cotton wool and kindling
  7. Light your fire with the matches / striker

  • Be careful not to burn or cut yourself
