    Instructions

    1. Welcome to our virtual escape room – Extreme edition! - and the best thing about the virtual setting is that we aren’t limited by physical space! So, this isn’t just a room, it’s an entire castle! I hope you’ve got some time on your hands…
    2. To play this game, you navigate through the castle using the buttons and options in the google form
    3. You’ll see pictures of the places you’re visiting, and you can make choices and collect items and information in each place
    4. You’ll use these to open things, make trades, and keep from getting killed
    5. Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to get into the tower of Castle Auctor and help the Princess Alyssa to escape
    6. Alyssa is kind of a big deal
    7. Legend has it that she is the only person who can end the tyrannous reign of the King, allowing the people of the Kingdom to thrive, and to put an end to their struggles
    8. Alyssa had always rebelled against her father, and made numerous attempts to sabotage his rule - all of which were unsuccessful
    9. Narrowly escaping with his life and seething with rage, he sought punishment for his daughter
    10. Despite her attempt on his life, he just couldn’t bring himself to have his own daughter killed, so he locked her away in the highest tower
    11. Whilst in captivity, she has been working on a strategy to reclaim the castle and overthrow her father, and she has called on you to complete the last part of her plan to escape and carry out her revolt and well, here you are
    12. Just a few things before you start
    13. - This game is best played on a tablet, laptop or desktop
    14. Phones are small so it might not be as enjoyable
    15. - Feel free to play alone, as a pair, or in a team
    16. You don’t even have to be in the same room - you can play along together on a phone or video call
    17. - Make sure you have a pen and paper or something to write on
    18. - You will need to make a note of anything you see or read which you feel might be important
    19. Definitely note down any codes, and words in CAPITALS, and answer any questions in CAPITALS too
    20. - Please time yourself from the moment you enter the castle to the moment you make your final escape, and add any time penalties you get for dying
    21. Be honest, it’s just for fun
    22. Oh, and you have unlimited lives!
    23. - This bit is important for the game to work properly: please follow the navigation instructions on each page of the form - don’t use the ‘Back’ button unless you are told to, and definitely don’t use your browser navigation buttons
    24. If you cheat, that’s on you
    25. - The Lobby is your base from which you will access all the areas of the Castle
    26. It’s a good idea to start in the Bed Chamber and leave the Tower until last…
