Soap Turtle

45 Minutes | All | Indoors

  • Bar of soap (green if possible!)
  • Carving tools (whatever you have – suggestions below)
  • Knife (normal dinner type)
  • Clay carving tools
  • Toothpicks

  1. Start by drawing out the general shape of the turtle onto your bar of soap
  2. Once happy with your general shape begin to make deeper cuts to make the turtle take shape
  3. Remove layers of the soap bit by bit
  4. Or if you are feeling bold cut away whole sections at once
  5. Make use of the depth of the soap bar to make it three dimensional
  6. Carve the shell design into the bar of soap
  7. Don’t forget to add the eyes and a little smile to complete your turtle!
